"Closer," International Festival of Digital Arts, Bilbao, Spain (2024)
This visual piece was created for the bideotikan festival International Festival of Digital Arts, Bilbao, Spain (2024), where visuals were displayed on various screens across Bilbao. I chose a primitive black/white/pixel aesthetic, fully aware that the intensity of the whites would stand out aggressively, regardless of the format or pixel resolution of each LED screen in the city.
Inspired by unicellular organisms, I envisioned pixels "infecting" the city’s screens, morphing into detailed shapes—from tiny dots to large ovals—characteristic of noise behavior in TouchDesigner. The project was tailored specifically for its context: an on-site visual, an invasion, a proximate disease. Closer.
